“Be the change you want to see in the world” – Gandhi.
I have travelled the world to do what I am best at- identifying real issues, developing and implementing real breakthroughs. I have put in my heart and soul what I believe. Along the way I have faced massive obstacles though they have taken their toll I have overcome.
When I first started in the Safety profession almost 20 years ago, it was a noble profession that demanded Safety personnel to be dedicated, knowledgeable, competent, honorable, dependable, an asset to Project Managers and the company. There are too few people who meet this grade and there are far too many who don’t qualify.
In 2006 I was disappointed with the state of safety personnel and that companies and employees had started to believe that safety personnel were all useless. Safety people were qualified but not competent. They didn’t understand or want to understand the work or the difficulties that people had to deal with at work. All they wanted (and want) is an easy job that pays well. Training centers were churning out rubbish for the sake of money. Something needed to be done. I decided to be that person who dug in to make the change.
Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, supervisors and workers deserved someone better. Professionals who are able to speak the same lingo, understand the issues at hand and have constructive views. I called this company Safety@Work because I was the only Safety guy out there in the field. The only person who put his hearts and minds into the work he does.
Clients appreciate the work I do and the passion that I bring to any project. From FPSO conversions, to Oil and Gas projects or turnarounds to construction works. They know that when I am with them, we make even what seems to be impossible, happen.
