Roles & Responsibilities

The Asia Unit consists of Telenor Group’s Asian Business Units and the newly established regional Hub in Singapore. With a strengthened presence, we are sharpening our focus on the growth and modernisation agenda, and positioning ourselves to capture opportunities in Asia. The Asia Unit will drive business performance, assess structural strategies and enhance reputation, stakeholder management and internal culture in the region. The Asia Hub will consist of employees across five teams, in addition to the administrative team. The Leadership & Culture team’s key responsibilities will be to strengthen the 1st line of defence by supporting in developing the right leadership teams, the right leadership culture, as well as continue to strengthen BU's focus on governance, risk and compliance (GRC) issues. The team will on a daily basis interact with the management and stakeholders in the Asian BUs as well as ensuring a transparent and reliable link to Group HQ functions. We are now looking for a Director, Health Safety and Security & Supply Chain Sustainability to join the Leadership & Culture team, are you the one we’re looking for? As Director, Health Safety and Security & Supply Chain Sustainability, your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Ensure systematic and risk-based approach to managing health, safety and people security (HSS) as well as supply chain sustainability (SCS) risks according to Group policies and global standards with focus on culture and behaviour, by supporting and influencing Asian BUs management in;

  • Identifying HSS & SCS risks and defining relevant and common mitigations to manage activities with focus on synergies across Asian BUs

  • Strengthening the HSS culture in Asian BUs and in the supply chain

  • Implementing HSS and SCS processes as well as risk mitigation activities

  • Support Asian BUs incident handling and crisis management organization

  • Cooperate with Group / Asia Sustainability Team to support implementation of defined climate ambition, KPIs, etc. in Asian BUs

You must have at least the following qualifications:

  • At least 12 years of experience in HSS/SCS which 6-8 years in leadership/management role

  • Hands on operational experience within HSS/SCS field from leading industries (oil & gas, energy, shipping and/or retail)

  • Proficient and experience in Management System and Risk Management Principles specifically in HSS/SCS and in general

  • Additional proficiency and experience in Fire Safety and Physical Security will be an added advantage

  • Additional practical experience in implementing and managing HSS/SCS across various countries and diverse cultures will be an added advantage

  • Possess pro-active attitude with excellent stakeholder abilities

  • Possess excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence across all levels in the organization
