Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: · Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications. · Implement and oversee safety systems to control and monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure compliance within the environment ensuring adherence to government regulations/standards regarding safety. · Required to implement the “Workplace Safety and Health (Design for Safety) Regulations 2015” with due diligence and ensure that all relevant items are kept in the design for Safety Register · Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards. · Draws up and implements HSE policies/guidelines, enforce WSH acts that help reduce the risk of workplace accidents · Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace · Supervising construction workers and subcontractors, educate construction workers on site safety practices and accident protocol, evaluate employee performance. · To check and ensure if the workers within the site are fully understand and making use of proper protective equipment required for each work unit. · Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol, to carry out an investigation so as to determine the primary cause(s) of the accident. · Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance. · Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace · Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase safety and efficiency. Job Requirement: · Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field is preferred. · At least 5 years’ experience in building construction industry, construction projects or relevant experience. · Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations in Singapore. · Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment. · Occupational First Aid, BizSAFE Level 2: Risk Management certifications, Design for Safety Coordinator certification or equivalent certification recognised by MOM · Personal commitment to work in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and Workplace Safety and Health regulations. · Work location – West of Singapore
